This book is written for parents with pre-schoolers and is full of low cost fun ideas for developing your child's reading and writing skills.

A great guide that gets you as the parent to think outside the square, "not all reading and writing is achieved with books, pens and paper". Write in the sand, with chalk on the pavement or with a water pistol on the garage wall. This great guide is bursting with ideas.

The eight chapters of informative, step by step processes are extremely easy to follow for any parent. Recipes, finger plays, action songs - this book has it all.

Some years ago Barbara Morris set about researching and producing a wonderful book, not a manual on how to teach your child to read, but a book full of fun ways to get your child ready for reading.

Recently the Education Review Office identified a gap in early literacy teaching and learning. The covering letter of the document, “Literacy in Early Childhood Services: Teaching and Learning” states,
